777 thousand 969 tons of cow’s milk was collected by commercial dairy enterprises in August
The amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 7.4% in August compared to the same month of the previous year.
Drinking milk production by commercial dairy enterprises in August was 112 thousand 365 tons and decreased by 13.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. Cow cheese production decreased by 10.4% with 54 thousand 439 tons compared to the same month of the previous year. Cheese varieties obtained from sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk increased by 12.6% compared to the same month of the previous year with 3 thousand 301 tons.
Yoghurt production decreased by 0.2% compared to the same month of the previous year with 107 thousand 264 tons. Ayran production, on the other hand, decreased by 3,9% compared to the same month of the previous year, with 63,802 tons.
Cow milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises in August was found to have an average of 3.4% fat and an average of 3.2% protein.
